More on the digital transition delay

I noted some time ago that President Obama is seeking to delay the upcoming shutoff of analog over the air transition.

Apart from needlessly dragging out something that everyone should be prepared for, it turns out that the man who advised Obama on this issue (and contributed significantly to his campaign) stands to gain from the delay. Aside from the implications of quid pro quo, this doesn't bode well for the "most transparent administration ever" - the administration failed to disclose this connection.

It's about time.

In an open letter, Barack Obama informed his daughters why he ran for President:

Apparently, the President-Elect ran because of "because of what [he] want[s] for [them] and for every child in this nation."

What business is it of his as to what is best for my children?

Honda is being sued b/c their Civic Hybrid get's significantly less than the 47 mpg they advertized.

Obama plans to send an Iraq like surge of 30,000 troops to Afghanistan - but does not believe it will significantly change the direction of the conflict.
